What stays on your phone

Transcription, edit analysis and rendering all run on your device. Your video, audio and transcripts never leave it and are never sent to us.

What we collect

We keep a small amount of account metadata (an anonymous user ID, your subscription status) so the app can restore your purchases. If you add a name on the You tab, we keep it with that user ID so the app can show it. We do not collect your email or footage.

Usage data

The app sends anonymous usage events to Mixpanel, our analytics provider: which onboarding steps and features you use, when a project is created, whether an edit finished and how long it took, when a video is exported, and which paywall you saw. Each event carries your anonymous user ID, the app version and your device model and operating system. Mixpanel derives a country and city from your IP address and does not keep the address itself. No event contains your video, audio, transcript, name or email. We use this data to see where the app works and where it does not.

Third parties

Payments run through the App Store. Subscription entitlements are managed by RevenueCat and keyed to your anonymous user ID. Usage events are processed by Mixpanel (mixpanel.com/legal/privacy-policy) on our behalf.
